Fabric Block Printing Workshop

Join us for a friendly and relaxed workshop, during which you get to design and create your own masterpiece. Absolutely no experience, or artistic skills needed - just come and relax and have a crafty time with cake!

Starting with a coffee or tea you can explore the wide range of beautiful hand carved Indian blocks and see examples of printed pieces. After a demonstration, with plenty of tips and tricks shared, you get to practice before finalising your choice of blocks and colours. By this point, we usually need cake!

Once you’ve built your confidence, and with as much guidance as you need, it’s time to make your chosen piece - a tote bag, draw string bag or tea towel. Once your master-piece is finished and dry, it can be heat-set by iron to make it colour-fast and ready to take with you!

Plenty of chatting, coffee and cake, you’ll find the session flies - we aim for enjoyment, not perfection and for you to leave with something that makes you smile!

Workshop lasts approx. 2.5hrs.
